Description

The Harmonic Tuner is not only a wonderfully convenient advancement on Tuning Forks, but is also user friendly and substantially less expensive. No longer does one need to continually strike the tuning fork on the heel of one's hand for it to emit its sound vibration. Now with this instrument therapy can be applied smoothly without interruption when moving between these frequencies. Either one person or a whole group of people can be harmonically tuned at the same time.


We are all pulsating bundles of energy. We know that Life is essentially made up of subtle electrically charged systems. Through frequency entrainment these systems can be synchronized, balanced & healed. HOW IS THE HARMONIC TUNER USED ?

The Harmonic Tuner has been specifically developed to use in Sound Therapy. The continual striking of the tuning fork on the heel of one’s hand in order to emit a vibrational resonance, is often disturbing to the client during therapy. The initial strong sound of the tuning fork quickly fades and needs to be struck again in order to continue to hear it. This continual activity becomes a distraction when the person moves into an inner quiet space.


The Harmonic Tuner contains many frequencies from which you can choose to work with a single sound or a group of sounds. An individual can work on alone or a group of people can work together.

• With discipline or guidance, simply go with the flow….gone are the days of intensive soul searching that focuses backwards into history. Now its about asking for openness and ‘recognition’, working with multi-layers and multi-sounds, no longer in the head but rooted in the heart. Planetary frequencies are based on the work of Johannes Kepler (1620’s) and more specifically determined in 1978 by Hans Cousto, a Swiss mathematician, astronomer & a musicologist who translated the orbital velocities into musical tones. The tunings are based on the time that planets take to revolve around the Sun.
Long before Pythagoras, it was accepted that the cycles & frequencies of the planets (known as ‘Music of the Spheres’ ) move in dynamic geometric patterns, the interaction of which hugely affects & influences mankind & our Earth. Sounds Used in the Harmonic Tuner

The intricate human biological system resonates with sound frequencies, bioelectric currents, electromagnetic fields in an endless interaction of communication. Through frequency entrainment the tissues and cells oscillate sympathetically back into the balance of their natural healthy state.

Human Organ Frequencies

These were realized by Barbara Hero & the International Lambdoma Research Institute. These frequencies were calculated by passing sound waves through each healthy organ using the speed of sound (1996). This Harmonic Tuner contains the precise frequencies associated with inherently healthy tissues & organs.

Barbara is a mathematician, artist, composer & writer. She has lectured extensively on the wisdom of ratios attributed by Pythagoras (c. 550BC) and again picked up by Fibonacci (13th century). The understanding of the Lambdoma Matrix (which is a whole language of ratios, frequencies, wavelengths, undertones, overtones) has been her mission.

Schumann Resonance

Research in Biophysics suggests that our biological system is tuned into the background frequency of our planet - the Schumann Resonance - a steady pulse of 7.83 Hz which beats around the planet in the cavity between the earth & ionosphere. It is affected by lightning & sunspot activity. It has been found that this frequency is also the dominant brainwave rhythm of all mammals and variations in these patterns can produce mild to disastrous health & behavioral changes. The brain is ‘happy’ when it is in one of 4 frequency bands.

1. ) Delta- This is the band lying between 0 and 3Hz where the brain has the lowest consciousness.
2. ) Theta- This band between 3 and 7.5Hz are dominant when the mind is in deep meditation. In deep meditation when theta & alpha rhythms flow through the brain, connection between the human being & the planet is amplified, downloading energy & wisdom embedded in this field. Certain theta patterns are connected with hypnogogic states of awareness, lucid dream-like states & heightened creativity.
3. ) Alpha - Schumann oscillations are closest to the frequency of alpha rhythms. This is the brainwave band between 7.5 and 13Hz where people are in a state of deep relaxation & meditation. In the state of meditation our brain moves from lower beta to alpha to theta allowing the bodymind to make its self-healing connection.
4. ) Beta- This frequency range lies between 13 and 30Hz. This is ordinary activity mind - more alert & agitated.

Loosing our Connection:
Drowning out this natural frequency by overlaying it with manmade radiation noise, wireless technology & microwaves pulsed at frequencies close to Schumann Resonance as in mobile telephony, can have devastating effects on our immune system. Experts believe that this is a major cause for us to feel more stressed, fatigued and out of balance. Even our hormonal production is affected by changes in the Earth's magnetic field. Laboratory research has shown that exposing living cells to the Schumann Resonance has the effect of ‘protecting’ them from ambient EMF's, allowing the cells to increase their immune protection & decrease the absorption of depression-inducing chemicals.
By screening out this electromagnetic frequency our circadian rhythms diverge, we become distressed & experience migraines. After a brief exposure to 7.8Hz health stabilizes again. OM / AUM

Aum
Is a Sanskrit syllable most often found at the beginning of Buddhist mantras – the sacred tone, the totality of all sounds, symbolizes the fundamental nature of reality. It is the everlasting, never-ceasing tone of primordial vibration.

Earth around sunThis is the Earth Year Tone frequency, calculated in exact harmony to the movement of the Earth around the Sun. The Earth Year frequency has been octavized 32 times bringing it up into audible range at 136.1 Hz registering the note of C sharp or C#.
It is also the frequency of the Heart Chakra or Anahata . ‘Anahata’ which means ‘not hit’, is the sound that is not made by 2 things striking together (whereas everything heard is made by 2 things striking together). It is the sound of Brahman, the energy of which the world itself is a precipitation.
In India the Om is the keynote (known as Sadja) of the Sitar & Tambura. Indian meditational music is always played in C# for it is said to stimulate and make the soul resonate. It is said the secret of the meditative effect of India’s music lies in this primordial tone. It creates a calm, relaxed feeling of well-being.
By breathing in this sound and by humming and meditating on this tone you will (morphogenetically) tune into the mantric realm of the Tibetan holy people and the saddhus of India.

Harmonic Tuner User Guide

Connection to Loud Speakers:-

1. Personal Computer/PC Speakers may be plugged in directly.
2. Connection to a Hi-Fi System is accomplished by using one of the two supplied leads.

The unit cannot drive a loud speaker directly. Amplification is required.

The Keypad
*Back/Shift *Group *Sound *Play/Stop
There are four keys, labelled as above, from left to right.

The Display
The display has two lines.
The Top line displays the Group. The Bottom line displays the Sound.

Navigating the Harmonic Tuner
When switching the unit on, the Root Chakra from the group Chakras is selected.

The Group Key
This is the name of a group of sounds. eg. Chakras, Planets, Organs etc. There are 8 groups. Every time this key is pressed, the next Group is selected.
eg. If the Chakras group is currently selected, pressing the key once would select the Planets. Pressing it again, selects Organs. When the last group is reached & the key pressed again, the Chakras are once more selected.
The first sound in the group is selected on moving to the next group.

The Sound Key
This is a sound within a group. e.g. 5th Chakra, Mars, Brain etc.
The number of sounds in each group varies.
Every time this key is pressed, the next Sound within the Group is selected.
eg. If Chakra 1, the Root Chakra in the Chakras group is currently selected,
pressing the key once would select the 2nd Chakra, the Sacral Chakra. Pressing it again, selects the 3rd Chakra. When the last sound in the group is reached & the key pressed again, the Root Chakra would once more be selected.

The Back/Shift Key
The operation of the Group and Sound keys is reversed when this key is held pressed. eg. If Planets group is currently selected, the Back/Shift pressed and held pressed, the Group key then pressed once, the Chakras group would be selected. The Root Chakra would be selected. While still holding the Back/Shift key down & the Sound key then pressed once, the 7th Chakra would be selected.

The Play/Stop Key
Pressing this key once will play the selected sound.
The sound will play, for example, for two minutes.
The sound may be stopped by pressing this key again.

Group 8
This is the last Group and is special.
Each sound in this group is actually a sequence of sounds.
The sequence is played once unless interrupted by the Play/Stop key.

Back Lighting Control of the Display
To save energy the back lighting of the display operates in the following manner:-

1. It is switched on for 1 minute on powering up the unit.
2. It is switched on for 2 minutes every time a key is pressed.
3. It remains on as long as a sound is playing.

It switches off 20 seconds after the sound stops playing.
